Small Group Questions | Week 4

1. Do you think God has called you to do something special? If so, what? If not, why?

2. What distraction do you wrestle with most?

3. Why are distractions so effective at derailing the good work we’re doing?

4. Read Nehemiah 6:9. Intimidation and discouragement only served to fuel Nehemiah’s determination. What can we learn from his example?

5. As we approach the finish line of our good work, why is it important to remember that we’re not aiming for what’s popular—we’re aiming for what’s important?

6.What steps can you take to stay focused on the work God’s given you to do?

7.How can you encourage others to remain focused on the work God has given them to do?

8. Pray: Father, thank You that, even in the face of distractions, You’re with us. Help us to learn to keep our eyes on You as we pursue the work You’ve given us, and to see our distractions for what they are. Give us the strength and perseverance we need to see Your work through to the end. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

9. Identify the distractions you face while doing good work and commit to avoiding those distractions in the future.
