SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS:

1. What is one of your favorite memories of spending time with friends, family, or a group of people? What made that experience meaningful to you?

2. Jesus said the greatest commandments are to love God and love others (Matthew 22:37–40). What do you think it looks like to practically live out both of these commandments in everyday life?

3. Genesis 2:18 says, “It is not good for the man to be alone.” Why do you think God designed us to need relationships with other people? What happens when we try to live too independently?

4. The sermon described God Himself as a “community of love” through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. How does knowing that we were created by a God who is relational shape the way you think about community?

5. Read Acts 2:42–47. What stands out to you about the way the early church lived in community? Which part of their example do you think is most difficult for Christians today?

6. The sermon said, “We can build an entire life around convenience while avoiding genuine connection.” What are some ways modern life can make it easier for us to avoid meaningful relationships?

7. The sermon emphasized that community requires intention—it requires showing up, opening your life, and taking a risk. Which of those three things is hardest for you, and why?

8. The sermon described a healthy small group as a gathering of grace, a gathering of healing, and a gathering of mission. Which of those three do you most need in your life right now? Which one do you think you can most intentionally offer to others?

9. The New Testament calls believers to serve, show hospitality, be kind, encourage, and carry one another’s burdens (Galatians 5:13; 1 Peter 4:9; Ephesians 4:32; 1 Thessalonians 4:18; Galatians 6:2). Which of these “one another” commands comes most naturally to you, and which one do you need to grow in?

10. The sermon challenged us to take a next step: get involved in a group, serve on a ministry team, or move toward someone who needs the love of Jesus. What is one specific step you will take this week to move out of isolation and intentionally build community or show Jesus’ love to someone else?
