SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS:
1. What is something you’re naturally good at—something that seems to come easily to you?
2. Read 1 Peter 4:10–11. What stands out to you about the purpose of the gifts God has given us? How is this different from simply using our abilities for ourselves?
3. The sermon said, “Your gift is a gift to somebody else.” What do you think that means? Is there a gift or ability you have that someone else might need?
4. The sermon challenged us to ask, “What am I doing with what God has put in my hands?” Which area is easiest for you to think about as something God has entrusted to you: your gifts, your stuff, your money, or your hands? Why?
5. Read Acts 2:44–47. What do you notice about how the early believers viewed their possessions? What would it look like for you to view something you own as something God could use to bless someone else?
6. Read Matthew 6:21. What can our spending and giving reveal about what has our heart? What is one way you could grow in seeing money as something God has entrusted to you rather than something that belongs entirely to you?
7. Read Galatians 5:13. Why do you think we sometimes overlook ordinary acts of service as “ministry”? What are some everyday opportunities where simply showing up, helping, listening, or serving could make a difference?
8. The sermon emphasized that you don't need a microphone, platform, or special title—you need willing hands. Have you ever held back from serving because you felt you weren't gifted, qualified, or important enough? What does this sermon say to that mindset?
9. Moses had a staff, David had a sling, and the boy had five loaves and two fish. What do these examples teach us about what God can do with what seems small or ordinary? What is something you currently have that you could place in God's hands?
10. Look back at the four questions from the sermon: What gift has God given me that I'm not using? What do I own that God might want me to use for someone else? What does my money reveal about what I value? Where could I simply put my hands to work and serve? Which one of these questions is God challenging you to respond to this week, and what specific action will you take?
