SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS:

1. What’s a fashion trend or style you’ve seen that made you think, “That doesn’t look good on anyone”?

2. When you hear the term “self-righteous,” what kind of attitudes or behaviors come to mind? Have you ever seen or experienced that in a group or community?

3. Which of the signs of self-righteousness mentioned in the sermon resonated with you the most? Why?

4. Why do you think self-righteousness is so hard to recognize in ourselves but easy to see in others?

5. Jesus was righteous, yet people who were far from God were drawn to Him. What do you think made Him different from the Pharisees and religious leaders?

6. The sermon said, “When your view becomes an excuse to be disrespectful or dismissive toward someone, you may be right, but you are not righteous.” How does that challenge the way we interact with people who think or live differently than us?

7. Luke highlighted that Jesus welcomed and ate with sinners. What might it look like today to reflect that same spirit of grace and hospitality?

8. How can we intentionally take off the “self-righteous wardrobe” and clothe ourselves in humility, compassion, and Christlike love this week—especially in our conversations, attitudes, or social media presence?
