SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS:
1. What’s the most foolish thing you’ve ever believed as a kid that turned out to be completely untrue?
2. Read 1 Corinthians 1:18—Paul says the message of the cross is "foolishness" to those who are perishing but "the power of God" to those who are being saved. Why do you think the cross seems foolish to the world?
3. The message emphasized that embracing the way of the cross is where real transformation happens. What are some ways you’ve experienced God’s power through surrender rather than striving?
4. We often get caught up in "chasing the wind"—pursuing things that don’t last. What are some of the things people chase that ultimately fade away? How can we shift our focus toward what truly matters?
5. Read Galatians 5:22-23—The fruit of the Spirit is a response, not something we manufacture. How have you seen the Spirit produce something in you that you couldn’t have done on your own?
6. The message challenged us to "keep in step with the Spirit" (Galatians 5:25). What are some practical ways we can do this in our daily lives?
7. Paul taunts the Corinthians in 1 Corinthians 1:20, asking, "Where is the wise person?" How does this verse challenge our culture’s definition of wisdom?
8. Jesus demonstrated the power of God not through dominance but through surrender—especially at the cross. How does this challenge our natural way of thinking about power and success?
9. Pilate thought he had power over Jesus, but Jesus reminded him that real power comes from God (John 19:10-11). How does this truth help us navigate situations where we feel powerless?
10. What is one area in your life where God is calling you to embrace the way of the cross instead of chasing the wind? How can we support each other in that journey?
