SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS:

1. Blake mentioned falling in love with The Lord of the Rings in 8th grade. What's a movie, book, or story that captivated you when you were younger, and why?

2. If you could be any character from an adventure movie for a day, who would you be and what would you do? What's one of your favorite memorable lines from that movie?

3. What’s a small "adventure" you’ve been on recently, even if it’s just trying something new in your daily routine?

4. Romans 1:20 says God's qualities are seen in creation. Besides nature, how else might God's "invisible qualities" be seen or understood—perhaps even in stories or movies, as the sermon suggests?

5. C.S. Lewis described the story of Christ as a "true myth." What does that idea mean to you, and how might it shape how we see God in other stories?

6. The sermon describes God as “the God of Adventure, Action, Saving, and Heroism.” Does that match how you usually think about God? Why or why not?

7. Blake stated, "Our God chooses the weak, the hurting, the broken to bring and display His glory." Why do you think God often works this way? What does it show about His character?

8. In Genesis 12:1, God calls Abram to leave his home at age 75. What challenges might he have faced, and what can we learn from his response?

9. Reflecting on both Joshua 1:9 and Peter walking on water (Matthew 14), what do these stories teach us about courage, faith, and what to do when we feel afraid or uncertain?

10. Isaiah 6:8 presents Isaiah's response, "Here I am! Send me." What kind of heart or mindset do you think led Isaiah to say yes to God's call so quickly?

11. Frodo said, "I will take it! ... Though I do not know the way." Have you ever felt called to do something significant even though you felt unsure or unqualified? What happened?

12. What fears, comforts, or excuses might be holding you back from stepping into opportunities God is presenting in your life?

13. The quote "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone" was shared. In what area of your life do you feel God might be nudging you out of your comfort zone right now?

14. What is one small “first step” you could take this week toward that “Mordor,” inspired by Frodo’s willingness to start the journey?

15. Who could be part of your “fellowship” for this journey—and how can this group practically support one another in taking courageous steps of faith?
