SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS:

1. Have you ever had to do something that felt risky or uncertain—like a "leap of faith" moment? What was it, and how did it turn out?

2. In John 11, Jesus waits on purpose before going to Lazarus. How do you typically respond when it feels like God is delaying in your life?

3. The sermon said, “Especially in the waiting, Jesus is purposeful.” Can you share a time when you recognized God’s purpose only after the wait?

4. Jesus didn’t lecture Mary or Martha in their grief—He wept. How does knowing Jesus is emotionally present in our pain impact your view of Him?

5. The verse “Jesus wept” is brief but powerful. What does that teach us about how we can respond to others in grief?

6. Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” What holds you back from fully trusting God when the situation seems hopeless?

7. The Lazarus story ends with a dramatic resurrection. Why do you think Jesus didn’t just heal him earlier—why go to the extreme of raising him?

8. The sermon connected Lazarus’ story to the resurrection of Jesus. How does the resurrection personally shape the way you live today?

9. Indiana Jones had to step onto an invisible bridge. Where is God asking you to take a “leap of faith” right now, even when you can’t see the whole path?

10. Jesus asked Martha, “Do you believe this?”—and He asks us the same. What’s one area of your life this week where you need to live out that belief with action, trust, or surrender?
