SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS:

1. In the Kung Fu Panda clip, Po finds a village of pandas who share his quirks and feels like he finally belongs. Have you ever had a moment like that—where you felt like you’d found “your people”? What made that moment meaningful?

2. Read Matthew 12:46–50. Why do you think Jesus responded the way He did when His family came to speak with Him?

3. What does Jesus’ definition of family teach us about the nature of the Kingdom of God?

4. How does it challenge or expand your idea of who “belongs” in the family of God?

5. Think about someone you’ve met who seemed like an “outsider” by the world’s standards. How might Jesus have seen that person differently? What does that teach us about how we should treat others?

6. The sermon shared the story of the woman who washed Jesus’ feet (Luke 7:36–50). What stands out to you most about that moment? How does Jesus’ response to her speak to people who feel like they’ve messed up too much to be loved?

7. Can you think of a time when the church (or a Christian community) made you feel truly seen, loved, or welcomed? What made that experience impactful?

8. Jesus consistently welcomed outcasts and turned them into insiders. What are some practical ways our small group—and our church—can live this out in our community?

9. The sermon closed with the idea that the church should be a place where people walk in and say, “These are my people.” What needs to change or grow in us to be that kind of family?

10. Is there someone in your life right now who may be longing for belonging? How can you personally extend an invitation into God’s family this week?
