Jonah | Week 3
SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS:
1. Have you ever given an activity or food a second chance? How did it go?
2. What are some similarities and differences between believing in God and trusting in God?
3. Jonah ran the first time God called him. Have you ever tried to run from God? What did that experience teach you about His grace?
4. The sermon mentions that sometimes discipline feels harsh but is actually God’s grace (Jonah 1:17; Hebrews 12:6). Can you think of a time God used a difficult situation to guide you back to Him?
5. Read Jonah 3:1. Where might God be reaching out to you again? How are you going to respond?
6. Read Jonah 3:5–6. The Ninevites responded with humility and repentance. What might it look like for us to respond that way today?
7. God didn’t just give Jonah a second chance—He gave Nineveh a second chance, too. How does it feel to know that God’s mercy isn’t just personal but can extend to others around you?
8. What is God trying to show you? Is there a sin He wants to save you from, or an opportunity He's calling you to explore?
9. Prayer: God, thank you for Your patience and mercy toward us. Help us to see the second chances You've given us. Please help us to see what our next steps are and give us the boldness to take them. In Jesus' name, amen.
